The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of surveying and powerline testing equipment under two lots;

Lot 1: Supply of high voltage pressure test set and primary current injection test set

Lot 2: Supply of GPS receivers

The REA invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is reserved for local and resident providers.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at from 9:00am to 4:30pm on working days.

The bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application on the company letter headed paper or equivalent to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 ($27).

The method of payment will be cash paid at REA accounts office and a receipt issued upon payment.

Submissions

Bids must be delivered to the address provided below at or before 11:00 a.m. (local time) on 8 June, 2018.

All bids for lots 1 & 2 must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 2,600,000 ($691) and UGX 1,000,000 ($266) respectively.

The bid securities must be valid for 118 working days until 23rd November, 2018
