Conlog talks about doing business in Africa

Representatives from metering company Conlog speak on the need for robust, safe and secure smart metering technology that is appropriate for the African market.

Responding to a question on the challenges of doing business in Africa, Gys Snyman, international commercial director at Conlog, compared the market growth and opportunities between Africa and first world countries.

Snyman adds that developed countries have delivered advanced technology to African regions. However, the challenge is that these regions are sometimes not ready to adopt the technology where the need is more on robust, safe and secure systems.

Meanwhile, Sibusiso Skosana, commercial director for Southern Africa at Conlog, underlined the promising developments including the increased focus on electrification projects by governments.
