The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Ltd (TANESCO) intends to procure power from a set of wind power projects with a total generation capacity up to 200MW from Singida, Njombe and Dodoma Regions.
To achieve this, TANESCO is inviting prospective developers to undertake the feasibility study, finance, build, own, operate and transfer wind power projects of a capacity no less than 50MW. It is important to note that no more than 100MW capacity shall be connected in one substation.
The tendering process will be conducted through International Competitive tendering procedures specified in Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement (Regulations– Government Notice 446 of 2013, and is open to all applicants as defined in the Regulations.
Prospective developers who have earlier expressed their interests to develop wind power projects by way of concept note, MoU or any other form and have submitted documents to TANESCO are advised to participate in this tendering process.
Interested bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the RfQ documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board TANESCO Head office, Umeme Park Building, Ground Floor, Room No. 4 Ubungo Area, along Morogoro Road, P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam, from 09:00hrs to 16:30hrs on Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.

A complete set of RFQ documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 200,000 ($87).
Payment should be made through National Microfinance Bank Account, payable to TANESCO LTD upon receipt of reference number at TANESCO Head Office for local applicants; for foreign applicants, payment shall be made through the following accounts:
