The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Federation of Industrial Economics has officially released the fifth batch of manufacturing single champion model enterprises list.

JA Solar Technology has won the honour of Single Champion Demonstration Enterprise in the Manufacturing Industry for its main PV modules.

According to the standards of the MIIT: Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise refers to an enterprise that has focused on certain specific product segments in the manufacturing industry for a long time.

Besides, it has internationally-leading production technology and has a globally top single product market share. Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise represents the highest level of development and the strongest market strength in the global industry segments. It is the first tier of manufacturing companies and the pioneer of Chinese manufacturing.

To accelerate the cultivation of pioneering enterprises with innovative capabilities and world-class enterprises with global competitiveness, to improve manufacturing enterprises’ innovation and specialisation and internationalisation, and to promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry, according to the Special Action Implementation Plan on Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise Cultivation and Improvement (No. 105 [2016], Department of Industrial Policies of MIIT), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics organised this event.

This honour represents an affirmation of JA Solar’s intellectual manufacturing strength and status in the PV industry.

Recently, JA Solar invested in the construction of an annual output of 6GW high-power module project in Yangzhou. Besides, a high-power module project with an annual output of 3.2GW at JA Solar’s manufacturing base in Fengxian has been successfully put into production.

The construction of another high-power module project with an annual output of 3.5GW at JA Solar’s Vietnam Base has also started. JA Yiwu Base has been also successfully put into production, from which the world’s first order of JA 182mm size module DeepBlue 3.0 was successfully shipped.

The makings of a manufacturing champion

JA Solar continuously increases its production capacity of high-efficiency products to meet market demand for further increasing market share and integrated profitability.

At the same time, with the main theme of “improving quality, reducing costs and increasing efficiency”, JA Solar actively embraces the transformation and upgrading of digital intelligence and exploits advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence to promote intelligent manufacturing which has made the company realise intelligent operation management and quality control in production aspect.

With all these efforts, JA Solar’s High-efficiency PV Module Digital Workshop was selected as a pilot model project for intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In addition, product’s whole lifecycle, from product development and design to processing and manufacturing, sales, transportation, product application and recycling has been taken into consideration by JA Solar, which has integrated environmental protection concepts into all of these aspects to create a resource-saving and environment-friendly company.

Up to now, JA Ningjin Base, Hefei Base, Xingtai Base, Shanghai Fengxian Base and Baotou Base have successively been awarded as national “green factories” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

All products’ chain of JA Solar industrial chain has bases meeting the requirements of national green factories, which not only reflects JA Solar as an advanced benchmark in the PV industry but also a positive response to global green development.

In the future, JA Solar will make greater contributions to the development of global green energy with practical actions relying on its industrial chain, product technology, ecological cooperation and other advantages.
