PV and smart energy total solution provider Trina Solar has been named a 100% Bankable Module Supplier in the 2020 PV Module and Inverter Bankability report, published by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
According to the Bloomberg report, the solar company has achieved 100% bankability six times, topping the list for the past five years. The report indicates that Trina Solar modules can help project developers obtain bank financing more easily.
Founded in 1997 the China-based firm engages in PV products research and development, manufacture and sales, PV project development, EPC, O&M, smart micro-grid and multi-energy complementary systems development and sales, as well as energy cloud-platform operations.

The BloombergNEF report considers the company’s financial health, records of its modules in the field and manufacturer warranties as important indicators for financial institutions in their evaluation of PV manufacturers’ bankability. They contact banks, EPCs, independent power providers and technical advisors worldwide and conduct in-depth interviews with quality inspectors and technology experts.
The 2020 PV Module and Inverter Bankability BloombergNEF report also cited the annual photovoltaic module reliability scorecard report issued by the internationally authoritative certification body PV Evolution Labs.
