Kenya’s geothermal generation picking up steam
The Menengai Geothermal Development plant has added 105MW geothermal production capacity to Kenya’s national grid.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) hereby invites proposals for the provision of consultancy services for implementation of the Olkaria I Units 1, 2 & 3 Rehabilitation Geothermal Power Project.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) is open to all competent bidders. Firms may submit their proposal in association with other competent firms.

A maximum of three firms shall be allowed to associate. However, a firm shall not appear in association with two or more different bids.

A bidder will be selected under quality and cost based selection and the procedures described in the RFP.

Bidders shall attach a declaration in the proposal, that they are not debarred from participating in procurement proceedings and that they will not engage in any corrupt practice.

Tender proposals must be submitted on or before 30 September 2020 at 10h00 East African Standard Time, clearly marked REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTING SERVICES FOR OLKARIA I UNITS 1, 2 & 3 REHABILITATION PROJECT.

There will be a pre-bid meeting on 9 September 2020 at 10h00. The venue is yet to be confirmed.
