The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has extended the deadline for bidding in a 3 GW solar tender linked with 1.5 GW of annual solar under global competitive bidding Phase II.

Renewables Now reported that this is the third time the deadline date has been extended.

Bidders now have until 14 May 2019 16h00 to submit their documents with
techno-commercial bids opening one hour later.

According to Renewables Now, developers have to make offers for at least 1 GW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar capacity associated with 500MW of manufacturing capacity at a maximum tariff of INR 2.75 (USD 0.039/EUR 0.035) per kWh.

Winners will implement their projects on a build, own, operate (BOO) basis and will be awarded 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with SECI. Read more: Solar to power Dubai’s desalination plants

Prospective bidders are requested to remain updated for any notices/ amendments/ clarifications etc. to the RfS documents through the websites and as no separate notification will be issued.
