How e-mobility technology is changing island living

Responding to a question about the readiness of East Africa for the uptake of e-mobility, Abishek Bhardwaj, the CTO at Equatorial Power, notes that e-mobility is a pressing global issue.

According to Bhardwaj, in East Africa, 70 to 80% of fossil fuel is used primarily for transportation.

“So if we need to tackle the fossil fuels issues in the region, it will have to be in transportation,” he says. He adds that the majority of transportation needs in the region are livelihood-based.
