1 October 2007 – The Power Holding Company of Nigeria’s (PHCN) Shomolu business unit has urged consumers to embrace the new prepayment metering system.

Unit business manager, Peter Ekhator last week explained that the project was aimed at assisting the community to properly manage their electricity.

At a Community Development Association meeting last week, he spoke about the benefits of the project, such as no reconnection fees, no estimated billing, convenience and user friendly interface.

He further asked the executives of the community development association to educate their members on the need to cooperate with and assist meter installers and to protect and guard PHCNs installations within their community.
