Analysys Mason teams up with Iberdrola and EON Consulting

On Tuesday, global adviser Analysys Mason announced that they have partnered with South African consulting company EON Consulting and energy group Iberdrola, to advance the development and implementation of smart energy technologies and services in South Africa.

Analysys Mason partners to leapfrog energy challenges

The collaboration brings together global best practice and local expertise to support the growth and adaption of the utility sector, the advisory service firm said in a company statement.

The firm added that this partnership will help deploy energy solutions that will benefit utility operators and consumers alike and enable South Africa to leapfrog the energy challenges it has faced in the past.

Bertha Dlamini CEO of EON Consulting explained: “Achieving transformation in the South Africa market requires the leveraging of global expertise in utility transformation and the use of smart energy technologies, coupled with strong local knowledge around the particular requirements of the South Africa market and its consumers.”

Sharing best practice

The partnership will leverage Iberdrola’s global leadership in utility operations and technology development. Iberdrola was instrumental in the development and formation of PRIME, an open standard with real interoperability for smart metering and smart grids.
