Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.
During one week each November, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
As such, ESI Africa is proud to partner with Divaine Growth Solutions for a golf day celebrating GEW in true Cape Town style on 17 November at the River Club, Observatory, Cape Town.
Divaine Growth Solutions is an organisation with a vision to respond to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals by implementing and facilitating the following categories: Clean and Affordable Energy, Gender Equality and Quality Education.
Purpose of Global Entrepreneurship Week
An entrepreneurship boost in any country leads to job creation and the introduction of innovation. It is not a secret that more entrepreneurs are needed in South Africa to secure and develop our economy’s growth.
As we enter 2018 Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place from 12 to 18 November, it is crucial to examine ourselves as a country and figure out how supportive the state is of innovation and start-ups.
Examing these areas leads to questioning the government’s National Development Plan inclusion of entrepreneurship to create more jobs, which will contribute to the 2030 goal of reducing unemployment.
Divaine Growth Solutions is hosting its first annual golf day to be held at The River Club Golf in Observatory Cape Town on the 17 November 2018. The purpose of the event is to celebrate global entrepreneurship week through enjoying the game of golf (even if you have never played before), sharing ideas, new business leads and untapped opportunities between industries.
At this golf day, we aim to provide guidance and a support network to growing SMEs, aspiring SMEs and students. It will also be an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to network, showcase their business and discuss potential collaborations for 2019.
