AIE proudly presents: Renewable Energy Tanzania conference to be held on 3 August 2021 in Dar es Salaam with an option to attend virtually. The conference will bring together the various role players and stakeholders in the industry to discuss and brainstorm the latest developments, strategies, legislation, challenges and opportunities facing this expanding industry.

It is well known that the continued development of Tanzania’s energy sector is critical to the country’s ability to grow economically, attract FDI and expand its commercial ties regionally and globally. Electricity demand in the country is increasing rapidly mainly due to foreign investments and an increasing population, Tanzania also connects 6 land-locked countries to the Indian Ocean, making it very attractive to investors. The government is encouraging investments to increase available generation, further expand electricity access, reform the distribution system, and develop new indigenous sources of energy. This makes renewable energy vital for Tanzania’s economic growth.
