The South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has expressed confidence in the Eskom sustainability task team regardless of the disapproval of opposition political parties.

This week, in collaboration with the African Utility Week conference we take a closer look at the composition of the team and pressure that it is facing amid it’s task of getting the power utility back in shape.

“We can safely say that Eskom is being handled and we will eventually put its challenges aside,” said Ramaphosa.

In this two-minute video, we analyse the political interference in the work of the Eskom sustainability task team.

The task team is expected to issue its report before the end of January.
