12 November 2009 - It has finally be confirmed by Eskom that Jacob Maroga, the CEO of the South African utility, has resigned.
"The Eskom board confirms that Mr Maroga's offer to resign was clear and unambiguous and was accepted by the board on 28 October," said acting board chairman Mpho Makwana in a statement.
Makwana will run the company until a new CEO and chair have been appointed “within 90 days.”
